Ok everyone, I bought a 2011 Heritage Softail classic, love the bike but it needs more comfort...I am 6'6" and about 265...I am needing to make changes, I am probably needing extend forward controls to replace the floorboards and was thinking about Le Pera Maverick - Daddy Long Legs seat, I wonder about the handle bars, I have the stock pushed forward as much as I can without pushing on windshield....Any opinions would be appreciated.

Lightbulb 6ft 4in/265lbs here!

I have a Road Glide, kind of a different beast but not too much. Anyway, I got lucky with the position and comfort of my seat but the floorboards are another story. I did get the kit to move them out an inch but nothing to move them forward, yet. I did get highway pegs and mounts that, when installed backwards, move them forward a couple of inches.
LePera makes a good seat. A friend has a Road King with a LePera seat and loves it. If you want to try a less expensive route, you might try calling Mean City,Cycles and talk to them about remaking your stock seat. I have another friend with a Springer Softail who sent them his "brick of a seat" and loves what they did for him.
Good luck!

I'd get a kit to move the floorboards forward a bit. Would then add an engine guard and throw some highway pegs on there. Problem solved and good comfort.

6'6" on a Heritage. I bet you do need some comfort . I have a buddy who is 6'8" and he looks like a gorilla on a kids tricycle when he sits on my Heritage.

Not sure how much it will help but forward controls would be a good start along with long reach footpegs and some straight bars.

Maverick Daddy Long Legs seat is very good quality and comfortable. Along with cycle visions 2 inch floorboard extensions it made my fatboy comfortable for 35" inseam. I don't think the cycle visions will work with an engine guard on the heritage however. I think arlen ness makes extended forward controls to replace the floorboards if you prefer. Good Luck.

I used the CV extension kit on my Slim. Made some decent leg room, but I did also have to go with a custom brake line, which I pieced together for about another $80 or so. No engine guard on that bike, though, so greengoone's concern may be valid, depending on how it mounts. I didn't want to give up the boards for forwards...

It's tough being tall on these bikes, and I don't have it quite so bad, at 6'2. Apes are my next planned mod, to change my torso/waist/shoulder position to a more natural, comfortable one.

I am 6'4" and I could not ride my buddies fat boy for long. Only so much you can do to make a soft tail fit someone your size.

6"4 with a fatboy and +1 on the highway pegs. However don't ride with your feet on them all the time or you will be berated by the expert riders on this forum.

I would look toward taller handle bars that will get your arms out straighter. Might want to check out Mark IVs, which are kind of like a highway peg bar that sits low on the frame, to extend your legs. If you already have a safety bar, try putting the highway pegs low, so you'll have several positions to stretch out in. You can put your feet on the floor boards only, or floor boards with your toe on the peg, or put only the bottom of your foot near the heel on the peg, or to really stretch out, lay the back of your heel or lower leg on the pegs. Can't help with you seats. Play with that Heritage, its one of Harley's best lookin' scoots.
