My question about it was what size motor on the 1997. I'm aware of the 80" shovelhead in 1980. I had a 1980 Low Rider with one.
So in 1997, was that motor a Evolution, or Twin Cam?
Edit: Never mind. I googled it. Evolution until 2001.
The last official year of the Evolution motor was 1999, and they only put it in Softails. Dynas and touring models got the new TC88 motor. The last time they put the evo in a motorcycle was in a small run of FXR4's in 2000, but 1999 was the last official year.

'78 1/2 was also when they first went to electronic ignition. It was junk, so most were converted back to points, including mine.
I knew it was around that time. Thanks for clarifying.
