Default Advice needed

Hey guys I am presently unemployed so if u have any jobs available that would be a great help!

but on a lighter note: I need to fix my stereo on my 2010 Street glide, which I find ridiculous! The speakers quit ..I hope its just the speakers..what size are the stock speakers? I am thinking about the J&M Amp and speaker set up I read about on here by DR.V-twin. What's the going price now? Where do I order? any other suggestions on stereo?

also: I need new tires what's the latest?

Thank you for any help I am trying to keep the cost down and quality high and get it right the first time! Limited income!! I've Read a lot on this wonderful site but I got lost in all the suggestions.

go to the audio forum on this site and look at the stickys there. go with the Rockford Fosgate amp and polk mm651 speakers. there is a sticky there that gives complete instructions to install on several models of bikes. this setup (according to some and I have it) is better than the J&M and cheaper. I ordered everything needed from ebay for right at $300

If money is an issue - replace the tyres and ignore the radio.

Who needs a radio on a motorcycle?

I never thought I would enjoy a radio, but I did on my Ultra. But when it broke, I never fixed it. One less distraction. If I was unemployed I definitely would wait on fixing it.

If both speakers quit at the same time, it's not the speakers. My first guess is a connector somewhere vibrated loose.

If money is tight, tires should come before a new sound system. There are plenty of tire threads here to confuse you and make your decision all that more difficult.

Good luck in your job hunt. Do you have a trade or any specific training?

Are you sure you don't have the speaker switch on the headset position? Highly unlikely BOTH speakers would quit at the same time.
