Default Creative Fork bag/storage

I have a bobbed Harley and don't want to put to big of a bag on the bike. I am looking fo a creative tool storage idea that I could possibly mount on my forks under the light. I don't want the cookie cutter fork bag that you see everywhere. my bike is pretty much all black with white walls, no chrome at all. so im looking for something that isn't black....maybe to brake up the all black theme a little.

I found this and love it. but it is friken expensive and they don't make it anymore anyway.

I was trying to stay away from Velcro and nylon products but im open to ideas.

got any good ideas ? .......and an ammo can wont fit on the front. they are to big.

In the 70s, before we saw many bags, the guys in the club wanted to have a small tool bag, since we seemed to always be tinkering on our bikes. So, we went to a saddle maker and he made us some and even stamped our nickname on them. I don't remember what they cost but it's an option.

I do know a leather smith. my problem is that I want to stay around 60$ or less. I think a canvas bag is going to be in my price range. I just have to find the right one.
thanks for the idea

I had a Heritage and a RK, I used the old windshield bags for my 'kit'. You'd have to figure a way to attach. Just a suggestion.
I only have 1 left, my daughter grab the other a small purse, added a leather suspender for the strap. Kinda cool looking. Very distressed and weathered

Figured it out!! I just realized I have an extra MOLLE mage pouch laying around. its made to hold 6 .308 ar10 mags. it will work perfect.

now on to the question of extra fuel storage... ( my bike dose not have a fuel gage).....I like the little fuel bottles I just need to come up with a cheap way to hold it on the bike.......

I am a little concerned about the placement of the bag. I had one I hung just below my headlight on my Road King and all was well until I hit a large bump in the middle of the night. Next morning I went out and, lo and behold, I have a dent in my front fender. Took me awhile to figure it out, blaming it on everything under the sun, until the light went on and I realized that the tool bag had done it!
