So I finally went over to the HF store, coupon in hand, and picked up a lift for the advetised $299. I had seen on their website there were two models, one was about a foot longer here and seen here the way to go was the longer one.
Called them first and they said they had the "big" one. Got it home and it was the shorter one. Called around the HF system and was told the numbers are just interchangeable for the short one, no one could confirm that was there was just the short model being made. They said I was basically out of luck, the store can't order anything special, they only get what comes on the truck.
Even called around to stores 100 miles or so away and they all had the shorter one so I guess the longer one is just not available........bummer. Which is my question, anyone know if the longer one is available at all> (shorter one # 68892 - longer one #69904)
I guess the shorter one will work, I was just hoping to find the other one. Its become kind of a challenge.
Thanks
I just did and their cheap one looks suspiciously like the HF unit.......but they say its not available for store pick up and want another 200 to ship ( 550 ish )which is why I was looking at the HF in the first place, 300 with coupon.
[By me their ad says they are both available but they are on sale for $429. That's a bit different than $299.]
Yes the ad does say that but they tell me the numbers actually mean the same lift - being the shorter one. Don't ask me why because I asked them and thats what they said. I guess the longer one is discontinued.
[I have the shorter 6' model, works fine. I also bought it with the $299 coupon.
That thing was one heavy SOB!!! ]
I was going to go back and get the 6 footer anyway if I couldn't find the long one. Glad to hear you don't have any problems with it.
Yes it was real fun wrestling it out of the truck and into the garage and back into the garage and soon back into the garage. Sheeeese, glad I go to the gym.
