Well, if you're doing the bagpipes for sentimental reasons such as a symbol of police funerals, I'd say skip them and incorporate the mourning band instead....much easier. If it's because you're scottish, then that might take a bit more.
You could incorporate a plaid harley logo into the bag itself if you have a talented artist. Then place the pipes over the outline of a badge. You could also have a billow of smoke forming the logo coming out of the pipes over abadge. I'll keep thinking of more.
I have seveal tattoos and always find it difficult to choose a design that no one else has. The artist who did my first tattoo said he tells people to take the design they have chosen to have inked, put it in their wallet for a year, and then if you still like it and want to have it done after that period of time you'll have much less chance of regret over your decision. I beg to differ...if I want one I go get one...I found a good spot online to find designs...check out the link in my signature....
