I dunno, I think the saggy bags give the bike a little "character", that used, but cared for look. Everything doesn't have to look "brand new" forever.........I am constantly reminded of this every time I look in the mirror in the morning !!

My fix: Bought some 1 1/2 inch chair foam pad from a fabric store. Cut it to size the top lid of my HD softail bag. Make sure it covers at least 1/2 inch outside to the opening in saddle bag. Spray painted flat black. Glued (Iliquid nails) two wooden strips on top across. Let dry 24 hous. Then attach this contraption to top lid undersurface with commercial grade velcros. The bagslook like new. All sags gone. Total investment $7.00

Here you go. I installed the kit when my Heritage Classic was new, and the bags have looked new ever since. It's a simple install.

I just got mine delivered. Very prompt delivery.

As far as "It's a simple install". I do not agree.

The first page of the instructions state "All parts are to be installed with the textured surface exposed to the interior of your bags".

Does this mean that the textured surface will be AGAINST the leather OR does it mean that the textured surface
faces (exposed) the interior and the smooth side is touching the leather?

Page two states "Making sure the insert stays to the face of the seam"
What does that mean? What is the face of the seam?

Does the front and rear insert top end edgego over or under the small bit of leather of the saddle bag that is folded over on the front and rear ends of the bags?

Instructions NOT user friendly. I will report the final outcome.

I bought the Got Saggy Bags they are great. I dont understand when you buy a bike and then not take care of it. They are too much money not to take care of.

YES!!!! Excellent recomendation! I, a mere woman, installed these for my honey, on his FLSTCI. He was a happy man, and his baggies looked brand new!!

Always good when a man's woman looks out for his saggy bags...[sm=groupwave.gif][sm=kissykissy.gif]

After a call to Got Saggy Bags toget some clarification on their installation instructions...I still cannot fit the front insert into the bag. So far it is impossible to wedge the insert BETWEEN the seam and the black molded plastic that is inside of the bag.

Any help would be appreciated from those of you in the Fresno CA area. Leave me a PM and we can get together.

Thanks

Maybe you should have yer lady give it a try.

If I remember correctly, you may have to trim one end of the "perimitter" piece. Then the slide-into position must not slip out, over the seam. The seam, helps keep it in the proper position inside the bag. Then the front/back pieces go in, wedged in place, between the seem, and the hard back on the inside of your bags. Almost felt like they snapped into place to me. Good luck dude!

A buddy showed me what he had on his, so I went home and made my own out of a piece of 1" X 1/8" aluminum.
A couple of bends and done. Just a simple peice that slips between the plastic and the bag and goes across the opening to the inner lip. Holds the saggy top up, and easily removes to put stuff in the bag.
If I was smart I would post a pic of it, but I ain't that smart.
