I ride solo and added the mini rail and back rest. That way I have a bag that I can place on the passenger seat and tie to the mini rail. If I was traveling two up I would get the removable back rest and luggage rack and use that configuration on trips.
Dowco Rally pack... Works great and fits a ton of crap. shadetreepowersports.com. I think Dennis kirk and J&P also have them. Works great on my WG.
I just posted my Kuryakyn "Full Dresser" in the forum classified section with links to pictures. The wife and I used it when traveling on our Softail and found it really worked good for us .https://www.hdforums.com/m_1430319/tm.htm

I have one that is similar to Keith's and is expandable. I've been on the road for a week with all necessary gear and didn't have to expand it. Money well spent if you're to do any amount of touring.

I am a Electrical inspector and use my bike fo r work alot, mine holds all the stuff i ever need with ease
I tried the back pack thing - just to and from work it was very uncomfortable. Can't imagine going all day long wearing it, even as a passenger. Opted for a removable sissy bar with padand the same kind of bags as KeithB showed in his picture. I only ride solo, so the bag configuration serves as a backrest when its fully packed since it sits on the passenger part of my seat instead of on a luggage rack. Found a great deal on the internet.
