I happen to have this crazy itch for a new bike, not sure what got into me but wanted a new 103 with a 6 speed. So I test road a few bikes, have to say the power to weight ratio with the new low rider is simply WOW! Thats the one or so I thought.
Numbers were done & done , papers were there and I could not do it. Im sure I ticked off a sales guy but I just could not do it. Im one of those people who is a miser with money, it takes me forever to spend a dime. (In this case a lot of dimes.)
I have a 2000 Ultra that I really tossed a few $$$ at this winter. The old ultra is about to join the 100k club and I just could not let it go, maybe Ill toy with the motor next winter it is 90% stock, Im sure there is a middle ground of dependable and increase in TQ/HP.
I have no reason to have two bikes as Im the only one who rides in my family. As I jump back on the old ultra I didnt have any sort of negative vibe just hit the stat button and rode off. I have to say I think part of me just couldnt give up the old bike.
Maybe the new road glide is coming back for 2015 maybe not, but I know it is going to take a lot more than a 103 and a 6 speed for me to finally part with this old ultra of mine.
Ill give a free plug to Ocean Country Harley Nj, good group of guys none of the shell games Ive seen at other dealers.
U can also save a lot of dimes buying a used 103 with low miles for a second bike and be just as happy . Just saying the 08 or 09 low ride are realy nice too.

I too have a hard time buying high ticket items. Then I am sorry & get buyers remorse immediately afterwards. That's why I ain't bought the Softie I have been wanting.
