rain!!!!!!!
I've had a lot of people ask me (when it's sunny) what do you do if it rains? I just give me a long long look and just say "ride". That being said, I hate to start in the rain, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. When I get caught in the rain, I don't give it a lot of thought unless it is a really hard thunderstorm and so far I haven't pulled over yet to wait it out. Last summer coming back from the beach my wife was pullling our pop up camper and I was riding the bike and when we stopped at the rest area it looked like rain. I told my wife, I wouldn't mind a little rain to cool things off. I was burned up. Well, I got my wish and more. I tailed along behind my wife at about 15 to 20 mph concentrating on her taillights to keep in my lane. I didn't even have goggles, just my sunglasses. Luckily we were about 30 miles from home and the hard rain was over in about 15 minutes.

Drizzle: I ride
Light rain: About 50 miles then I'm done.
Medium rain: Short trips less that 10 miles.
Heavy rain: I wait until it stops, then ride.
With good tread on wet roads you actually loosejust over10% of your traction. Sounds ok until you start cornering then this canrepresents 50 to 70% of what your riding on.
