Is there a dealer somewhere else you can buy your scoot of choice? Dealers that pull this crap are an insult to those who are trying to form a positive relationship with their customer base.

I put a down payment on a new FLSTC at Old Glory HD this week, and when I called to schedule settlement, the lady in the business office tried to sell me paint protection coating for $499 (along with some other extra-cost bells and whistles). I said no, but it's not too late to change the call on that. Does anybody here have an informed opinion about this?
Car dealers have been upselling this sort of stuff for years, but this is the first I've heard of it at a Harley dealership.
The HD dealer at North Platte ne is so proud of it they list it on the handle bar tag and won't sell a bike without it the last I knew-------------caused me to walk out 2 years ago .
