I just put a Sundowner on my '14 Heritage to try and get a bit more lower back support over the stock seat. It is better but I could use a little more; are there any pads or other appliance that you guys would recommend?
In looking at the Harley catalog they have Road Zeppelin pads that I think I can make work.....thanks.
I've used a Grasshopper on mine for a couple years and love it.
I use an Airhawk R seat cushion, it has made a huge difference for my herniated disc (it also keeps you from getting swamp ***). I highly recommend them if you have pain around your tail bone. Beforehand, after less than an hour of riding, my lower back would bother me to the point of where I'd prefer to park the bike and walk home. I also added a back rest, it has helped with my upper back (compression fractures from T4-T8), but I think Heritage bars or mini apes will help even more. I can now ride a few hours without needing a break, but I still take ibuprofen throughout the day.
Just a head's up. For all intents and purposes, the Air Hawk R and the HD Road Zeppelin Pad are the same. The HD pad is cheaper and can be adjusted on the fly where the Air Hawk R cannot.
