About the only thing left to do at this stage of the game is to deep-six my spoked wheels and replace them with forged wheels. I'm thinking of black and polished aluminum or chrome. I'm sick and tired of the rust on the spokes. They will literally show rust overnight and I just want to be done dealing with it. Plus of course, with forged wheels, I won't need inner tubes - another blessing.

forget what mod you did today or last week, what is the next mod on your list? I've got 2 in the works. I'm hand making a set of apes, and something a bit different. what do you guys think of this...
I'm going to attempt to put 3 small LED lights on each of my fender struts (recessed a bit) and wire them to my turn signals so drivers on the side of me can see my intentions. then i'm going to add a sequential turn signal kit (like the ones found on many mustangs nowadays) so that they blink sequentially (obviously). should be a fun, unique, and interesting mod, hopefully with a cool outcome (otherwise i'll be a bit upset about the holes i drilled into my strut covers).
Here's the tiny little jerks i'm planning on using for the signals:
what are your next mods?
Points for doing something original that isn't a bolt on gizmo out a catalogue.
Annoying when guys bolt on some bling and call it their " build " .
Going to be having some fun starting tomorrow, pretty fired up right about now. Received my new Midnight Pearl Wide Glide rear fender today for my Fat Bob conversion, painted by HD, so the color match and quality are primo. Also, already had waiting, a C&C Solo LoPro, an Edge taillight, Figure Machine plate mount, new black strut covers, with black bullets and standoffs, 11 1/2" 444 Progressives, and black belt guard. Good times for sure. Pictures will follow....
In the middle of stretching and painting the rear fender.
I'd like to see any photos or advice you have for the process.
I got a spare fender and tried bobbing it, but it looks crap. If I use the SS to lower the bike, the clearance is fine but because the tyre is curved and the fender cross-section is squarer, it looks wrong. And at ride height, it looks like a dirt bike.
I'm thinking of either creating a stretched fender with it, or instead using some steel bar to create a hoop that I can bolt to the strut mount holes which supports the back of the seat, and weld on a plate to hold and protect the ECM, effectively going fender-less. Just resting the seat on the bike without the fender it looks great, so I don't think it would be wasted effort this time. The only problem then is adding alternative turn and stop lights.
In the process of having my windshield cut down and smoked.
Next up will be a seat to replace stock, and most probably an exhaust when I can afford one that I like. I've already changed out the AC
The guy who's cutting my windshield has a body shop and paint place (friend of a friend), and I'm thinking this winter of doing a custom paint scheme on fenders and tank, but I'm just unimaginative enough to not have a clue as to what I'd like...
I just ordered a set of chrome wheels and tires with mathing pulley and rotors. The guy said they would take about six weeks to come in, so I think I may have time to save a little money and go ahead and replace the brake calipers as well. I was thinking about the direct bolt on PM brake calipers. I think it will add to the look of the bike. Anyone have any thoughts on the PM after market brake calipers??

Ok will do
I'm getting help from a friend that has a custom shop
So it'll probably be a 2 month project.
