What Happened To The Clunk?

May be some truth to this. My 'Ol lady lived there for a year in the 90's. I mentioned moving there someday when we retire, she says "no way" I lived there and am not moving back. I like the heat and sometimes can't take the northern winter. The trick is to stay so busy that the time goes by quick. But it is hard to do anything outside unless its winter games, which I am not a fan of. I do like visiting Florida though. I remember hanging in the bars and everyone I met was "not from around here" LOL!

Could you elaborate? I adjust per manual instructions and still have my clunk. As others have posted, sometimes it doesn't clunk if I pull and release the clutch a couple of times before starting the engine and dropping it to first gear. Are you saying the clunk can be eliminated by "better" adjustment?
