Dumb *** people on their mobile communication devices. The biggest threat to us since the invention of the recap tire.

The simple fact of higher volume makes it worse. But the overall difficulty I think is relative. When I travel to China and I see all these little bikes/scooters, and there are billions of them, weaving in and out between cars and trucks, who are also weaving...I think sheeeit, we got it easy.

I have to agree with just about every comment so far. More people, more distracted drivers, more airheads, etc. I know every time I pass a 2 way stop my A-hole puckers when you have a vehicle that doesn't slow down to stop until the last seconds and the ones who are stopped and start to creep up again as you're getting ready to pass by!!!

Yes. Plus a lot more traffic volume.

Oh yeah. You used to only see 20 somethings texting/driving. Yesterday, I passed a guy in his seventies doing it.

It would be nice if cages would sit still at Stop signs so we wouldn't have to read their mind. Left hand turners too.

deer herds are at record highs in many states...due to proper wildlife management. but, no one has taught them how to read---they do not use the deer crossing signs at all.

as a service to all my fellow riders, i am going to post signs in the woods and try and teach the deer how to read a little. do you think it is necessary to post the signs in english and spanish? i will also shoot any bucks with large horns, so that riders do not get gored by the antlers.

A lot more older people driving - an aging population and more older drivers still on the roads, as public transportation dwindles and more of them have, and retain, their cars.
Poor standards of driving tests - here in Florida the test is 8 minutes in a parking lot. How can the examiner possibly tell if somebody is competent to drive in that amount of time and not in real conditions?

It's not poor wildlife management, it's poor people management, i.e. birth control. I've been riding for > 25 years - more people, more housing developments, more cars, trucks, and factor in lots of people rushing around in their own little world which translates a rider has to have his wits about him at all times and stay away from high-trafficed areas. In the last few years I pretty much stay with country roads and I still encounter **** for brains car and truck drivers, and of course lot of farmers who pull their equipment out of fields with no visibility.
