In all fairness, I remember when I first started riding. Certain things that are senseless to me today were completely awesome to me. Like any local Bike Night, anywhere. Standing around looking at the 69 cent pinstripping from AutoZone along the fairing was so cool. We could look at is for 30 minutes. Looking at people's back tires to see how close the rubber was worn to the edge to judge people's riding ability...blah blah blah. Riding in the rain, all the time, with no protection, because riding was just so cool I had to do it all the time no matter what.
I remember those days. If that's where this guy is then I can relate. I bet most of us can.
I'd do whatever other people in your group do. I'd ask them, so you can follow along with everyone else.

Enjoy riding!!!
Great way of expressing your thoughts..even brought back some good old memories :-)
I didn't know that the HOG patches had changed. When I saw the words "winged skull", I immediately thought of something else and said "Woah! Wait a minute!"
These would be ok on the street, I guess, if you're into that kind of thing:
So, I have had my Softail for a couple years, but just joined HOG a couple months ago. The new patches came out this year and I really liked the Winged Skull patch for my back, as opposed to the older style Eagle patch.
My question is this....can I still put the local chapter top rocker above this if I so choose? I'd like to show my local membership off, but wanted to gather some thoughts from others first.
If all else fails, I'll ask another local member too.
Thanks
J27
I joined H.O.G. after I bought the bike and I joined the local chapter, they keep sending out post cards for their get-together's and I just toss them. I don't hang around or ride with anyone or any group, I joined for the road side asst. and the discount at the stealership. I'm not sure why I joined the local chapter, I'm thinking I was on pain meds that screwed up my thinking.
Also member by default. Have no interest in group anything. Like the ATT discount though, worth renewing for that.
I never paid for a HOG membership in my life.. Never wore the patches on a vest either! But I keep the ones i get when i get a new Harley as if it goes with the bike to remember the bike! Besides we all own Harleys right? We are all apart of it like it or not..a group of people that own Harleys!! Dont like it, or its not cool enough maybe you should buy a Victory!!!
This is a pretty good forum for the most part, but I just don't see the need in bashing everyone who ask a question (dumb or not). If we as a group were genuine in supporting and promoting the Harley Davidson and riding experience, we would be a little less of a jack *** when people ask questions. Even dumb ones.

After your "time out", you can join me in the thick skinned and unrepentant line...
But you have to go to the back of the line to atone for your brief display of compassion...
