Three years from now you will look back and think what an antique a Skully is compared to what Shoei, Arai and other major brands will be selling then. This is only a first step. Remember, it's not the rate of change that gets you, it's the acceleration of change. Get old, gray and senile waiting for things to stay the same.
I saw something like this using actual mirrors built into the helmet. nothing fancy. Don't know whatever happened to it, but, after a while, all that stuff adds to the weight of the lid, and makes it suck.
Called the revuee helmet. Sold by Revzilla, there are some youtube videos and works very well.
Maybe expensive for most, but...
Shoei Helmet $600.00 +$300.00 cell phone, plus $150.00 headset plus mounting hardware pretty close to the cost of this helmet.
Then if you add in the Schubert C3 Pro with their branded bluetooth your at $1000.00 plus the phone, and you are right there anyway.
Lots here have already spent that much just not on one helmet that does the job of those other things, and what we have done is not HUD, rearview also.
In time I bet there will be a HUD that will come out to show on the windshield (technology already exist) and a fully integrated bluetooth VOX helmet with a heated visor that is sensitive to the sunlight along with air conditioning riding on a super performance electric Harley. I know I dream but it could happen.
