The museum is great and the Motor restaurant food is pretty good. There are plenty of places in town to get great ribs. One place we like is Open Flame about 20 minutes from downtown and right off I-894/43 in Greenfield....easy on/off the freeway.
Not a long ride, but the OP's the best judge of his experience and skill levels on his bike.

That about sums it up. I've only been riding for a little more than 2 months, so I am definitely not ready for that kind of ride yet. Especially solo. I'm sure it won't be my one and only trip. Looking forward to making up there again on my Iron 883.

Yes, or occasionally original post, depends on context.
What's a long ride is is different for me, you, and the next guy. Stay within your comfort zone, just work to expand it at your own pace. Sounds like you're exercising judgment, and that puts you way ahead of a lot of folks out there that just don't have any, and can't develop it.
