Hey guys. Have a 2014 Street bob and need to get a sissy bar for it. Just wondering if you guys have any ideas for a cheap way to go rather than paying $300 for a sissy bar. Can I use a sissy bar from other model Harleys? Also, I have been told that you need to relocate the turn signals and license plate in order put a sissy bar on the street bob. Is this true? Any advice helps. Thanks!
If you go detachable sissy bar, you will need relocate the turn signals along with adding docking hardware (comes with the relo kit). The relo kit will make the signals look ugly when the bar is detached, and the sissy bar will rattle when attached.
I went with the one piece detachable sissy bar from Harley and wish I would of gone non-detachable. There's a guy on Ebay (Bowman I think?) that looks like has pretty good stuff. One piece bars that don't require relocating anything and the style fits the SB much better then any of the HD's 3 piece kits.
I stumbled across this website http://www.ginzchoppers.com and thought some of their designs were different. If you have a powdercoater near you get inventive and make one with a buddy and have it coated. It would be a cool piece that makes it your.
