Makes you feel like you're riding on rails. More specifically, railroad ties.

I have the Michelin Commander II's also. I only have about 300 miles on them, but they do seem an improvement over the stock Dunlops. They stick well in both wet and dry conditions, the ride os smooth, and they track straight. I'm happy with them so far.

The original Dunlops went under 6K for the rear and replaced with a Michelin CII that went over 11K. Very little difference in ride.

The front one was another story. At 17K local shop found some weathering on the sidewall, damned if I could see it, and he contacted local HD shop to get it replaced under warranty. Took it to HD and when I asked about the cost, figured they would prorate it, I got it for free. The service tech measured 5mm left on it.

When the time comes, I will definitely buy Michelin Commander IIs again. On my last bike, I had 24,000 miles on them when I traded it in. I think they could have gone another 3-5k easily. Only got 13k out of my stock Dunlops before making the switch.

Have 7k on this bike. As soon as the rear tire says it's time, both are getting replaced.

I did a search here for touring tires, it may have returned 50,000 post but not many were about buying tires. At best most forum search engines are not very good. Even a Google search on this site had some fairly old threads on top.
