Default Riser Bushings

Looking for some help, I have a 2001 Softail Duece. I'm replacing the stock risers and handlebars with drag bars. J&P Cycles recommended replacing the riser bushing with the bars. When I took the old risers off, the triple tree appeared to be solid with no bushings. Is it possible there wasn't bushings on this model year? I have the Service Manual but it doesn't say anything about riser bushings.

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. You can probably answer your question by using one of the on-line parts websites, like this one. From what I can see your bars are indeed solid mount, with no bushings. I suspect the advice by J&P is for other models that do have bushings.
