kickstand dragging

Default kickstand dragging

I have a 95 Sporty and my kickstand is drooping down low , i changed the spring but it still droops ,any idea

I'm not real sure if a 95 Sporty is the same as mine, but pretty sure it is. There is a cam shaped piece in there that holds the kickstand up and down, could be that it is worn badly, also look at the tab on the kickstand and see if that is bent or worn out. Replace which ever is the culprit.

I had the same problem on my '93 I tried 2 springs and no luck, changed the pin and voila problem solved. I almost bought a new kickstand for $250 out of frustration after the stealer sold me 2 bushings. (mine does not have bushings).I rode 2 seasons with my stand scraping, and people stopping me to say my kickstand was not up.
