Default torque wrench

I am looking for a short handle 3/8 torque wrench for the kuryakan accessories I am going to install. One piece said 18 ft lbs and others range from 84 inch lbs to 120 inch lbs. What is a good wrench to purchase? I just want to make sure I install these to specs for one the cylinder base cover which says 18 ft lbs or it may weep oil. thx

I use this one from Harbor Freight:

http://www.harborfreight.com/38-in-d...nch-61276.html

It's cheap but I've used mine a lot without issue. It does 5 to 80 ft. lbs and is 14 inches long. I don't think you will find a 3/8 drive torque wrench much shorter than that. You need the longer handle for leverage to get all the way to 80 ft. lbs of torque. You can get a 11 inch 1/4 drive though.

I have the Harbor Freight 3/8 inch drive and it works fine. I have a 20% off coupon which made it under twenty dollars. Works like a champ.

Caution on the HF torque wrenches...owned one and it failed within 1-month. Maybe just poor pick/luck, but my Craftsman & Kobalt torque wrenches are still going strong after 3 & 4 yrs of use.

For Your Reference: (if you didn't know and/or might help with your decision)

216 inch lbs =...... 18 ft lbs
84-120 inch lbs = 7-10 ft lbs

If you can can swing it... get a 1/4" and 3/8" drive Torque wrench (as alluded to above)
