Thank you in advance for taking the time to look at this and for offering input.
2004 Fatboy with Vance and Hines Longshots HS, and Stock AC. I just bought this used from a dealer so I have no input from the previous owner as to history or mods. It has the CV carb and I can see that the factory cap over the idle mixture screw has been removed.
I feel it may be running a bit rich, but I want to know what a trained/experienced eye sees when looking at the plugs. Feel free to take me to school on the subject.
The two pics below are the same but one with the flash and one without. The rear plug is the one on the right.
Thnx for the input. I must say I spent the last hour or better reading everything I could about reading plugs. Seems to be a complex science behind it. After poking my nose around a bit I would have to agree they look closer to normal than I first thought. Perhaps a little rich on idle, but not so on WOT.
those plugs don't look like they have many miles on them. if anything they look alittle lean to me. it's hard to read plugs now days because of all the additives in the fuels, plus it's hard in a picture but they look fine.
