I think I am leaning towards the blue and white. Still on the wall though. All of both colors at my local dealer are spoken for until March so I have a while to decide. Gives me time to save more for the down payment anyway
Our local shop has a solid color red that is probably the sharpest bike I have seen of the 2005 models. Of course, my preference is always for a solid color. Never have been much in to two-tone on anything.
The Deluxe is the best looking of all the softtails, and maybe of the complete line, so no matter what color you go with you are a winner.
Isn't it great that color is the only consideration in buying a new bike. I remember a time in the 90's when you took what ever color you could find, and still had to wait 6 months or a year. Glad those days are gone.
Good luck in what ever you decide, and enjoy the new ride.
I won't even know what the dealer is getting until mid-February. I am really leaning towards the blue/white. I recently noticed that the white acutally has a blueish type pearl look to it. It matches the blue really well. I'll keep you all informed
with a deposit the dealer should still be able to change one of the ones coming to any color you want. Thats what I did. Changed a sun glow yellow FLHRS to a sunglow blue FLHRS
ApeKing- Thanks for the idea. Called the dealer today, apparently the only ones available are too close to delivery to change color. They have a blue/white on the floor but it has the wrong wheels on it. Dealer is going to call me if someone backs out of one I might be interested in.
Back to the color choice for a minute. I like black or in your case, the black and white. Since the frame and swingarm, engine, and various other brackets and parts are already black, I think it gives a lot more flow and continuity to the entire bike. Just my 2 cents and whatever color(s) you choose, I'm sure you'll be very happy.
If'n it were me, which it ain't, I'd buy the blue and white (my old, very old, highschool colours and I am partial to blue), but it's your money, hence it is your choice. Remember the Golden Rule: He who has the Gold, Rules.
