Default Issues with my 2006 Classic

Hey, this is my first Harley. I bought a 2006 Electric gluide Classic. I have taken it to Harley because after riding for a while it will not idle at a stop. They couldn't figure it out . I think it is the TCP, but could use any advice. Thanks

Dirty or improperly gapped spark plugs.
Dirty air filter.
Old Fuel.
Bad fuel pump.
Clogged fuel lines and/or filters.
Improper or corrupted tune/map.
Set the idle rpms (Carburetor only)

Just a handful but they are cheap and easy to fix or replace.

To the above you can look at a dirty IAC. Easy enough to clean.
Not sure what the TCP is, but you may be thinking of the throttle position sensor.
It would help to get more info, like exactly what the dealer did. And what kind of mods or tuner that the bike has, mileage, etc.

The 2006 models were famous for the throttle stop screw loosening on its own and backing out. If you're facing the air cleaner, look on the right lower side where the throttle cables are. There is a round piece of metal called the bell crank. Look as you open and close the throttle (engine off of course.) You will see where the bell crank comes to rest, there is a piece of metal and a screw (throttle stop screw.) If the bell crank is NOT touching it with the throttle at 0%, it is backed off and out of adjustment. The screw is a special 5 sided TORX. If you find the screw loose, I would take it back to Harley because they will need the Harley computer to reset the TPS properly.
