Help w/air compressor!
Howdy! I have a Craftsman 33 galon stand-up compressor that I use for my Kendon lift. The compressor itself seems fine and it pumps up to 150psi at the air pressure switch as always... However, the max pressure I can get at the adjacent regulator is about 80psi even with the **** turned to max pressure. Could the regulator be the culprit or a blockage between the switch and the regulator be the issue? It wasn't always like this...
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
Couple of things. Since it's Craftsman, you could try contacting Sears to see if their "lifetime" tools warranty covers your unit. I tend to doubt so with motors/electrical, but worth asking.
Maybe the gauge dial indicator is faulty? Try knocking it? Try driving a large air impact wrench or other tool. Does it feel like 80psi or more like 120-150?
If it is actually weakened output, I'm guessing there must be internal bushings & seals at the output that could have eroded, and is causing leakage (?). Maybe Sears repair can do a diagnostic? No doubt a pita!
