I had a new stereo with Nav installed, but I guess I should have been more clear for the Pocket answer people.

Its for navigation, not to talk on my phone. I live in a rural part of Texas where street signs arent always visible, if present at all.

Could you not just add a high powered rare earth magnet onto your present phone case and then just let it stick to the tank?

Well like I said, I just went ahead and bought a new stereo. But, that was my original thought, but then read magnets play with the nav system, and thats why I originally posted
