I been thinking on one also and I always come back to the Porter Cable 7424 xp I know of a body shop and that is their main tool for polishing and light buffing before you get the big dogs out, simple to use.

The 6in Griots has more power than the PC. The PC is a good machine, not saying it isn't. However, With more power and lifetime warranty, the Griots is the winner.

I've used them both and prefer the Porter Cable ... To each his own.
