Question exhausted

Hi does any one know will a 1986 1100 sportster set of pipes fit a 2000 1200 sportster?
Again same with the carb. Hope someone can help cheers all Steve

Hi Steve from the UK and welcome to HDF. It may be possible to fit the carb, however I advise against it, as the 2000 c/v carb is widely available and more suitable. The '86 carb is quite different and was only used for two years, so parts and expertise may be a problem. By contrast the stock exhaust is actually the same for both bikes!

Hi thanks for that will stick with the pipes. Will miss the carb it looked cool got a nice stack on it. Been thinking we have a hell of a lot of rain in this part of the UK. So a stack may not be good on my every day ride. Cheers again Steve

Yes will stick with the S&S teardrop. I am in rural west wales between Carmarthen & Aberystwyth in the Cambrian mountains.Miles of good riding on and off tarmac :-)

Hi again I was wondering if I posted a picture of the carb, would you be able tell what model carb it is wether original or after market. Hope you can help cheers Steve
