Default Screaming Eagle pro 103 plus heads

Does anyone know if you can use a different piston with these heads, other than 22438-04

You need a similar piston because of the shape of the combustion chamber. If you used a flat top for example, you'd have a serious drop in compression.

Thank you Ed , that's what I though. But I'm having a hard time finding them. I didn't know if someone else may know of a piston company that makes a replacement for them. Harley no longer has them or even make them, that's what I told by two different dealership . Thanks again for your help.

Give axtel sales a call..

http://www.axtellsales.com

They design tapered squish pistons for HDs.. They may be able to fit you up with something, even cut the chambers to fit one of their pistons..

The standard bore was 22483-04 (you listed 22438-04). .005" over is 22484-04 and .010" over is 22485-04. I'm pretty sure with some searching you can find one of those - just start out .005 or .010" over. See if they are in stock here.
