Default Sidestand

i have a 2016 sportster forty eight with a roadster speedometer , about 4000 miles , today i install the vance and hines fuel pack and after i install a map and now when i turn the key on the speedometer reads " side stand " and the bike will not start . anyone know whats wrong ?

Check FOB battery first then you can connect FP3 then go to "Customer Support" and press "Upload ECU Content" along with VIN - they can then diagnose and help you.

no fob , i try the maintenance in the FP3 and it didnt show any bad codes . ill try the upload . thanks

Wiring diagram shows the Jiffy Stand Sensor to be on European models. To confirm you can do a visual check to see if a sensor is connected to your Jiffy Stand.

Later part of this video shows the sensor

yes i watch that video , thank you . i contacted V&H and went over it with them and the FP3 did something to my ECM ! nice i paid 399 for this thing and it miss up my ECM . they sent me a over night label for UPS and they said they will fix it , hopefully !!!! now my bike is down for probably for a week or more !

Glad they will stand behind their product, however, I agree the downtime is a bummer.

well i sent vance and hines my ECM along with the FP3 , it went over night they got it and email me saying they fix it and ship it back to me over night and i got the ECM back today , THEY SENT ME THE WRONG ECM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

all part of being a bike owner!!! Sucks at times, but it's all part of the deal...
