Busted Exhaust Stud Removal

Be sure to get the correct stud and nut from Harley and take it to the Indy. It will be a grade 8 and the nut is hardened if the dealer gets an OEM and not the hardware store stuff.

While the head is off, you may as well give those fins a good cleaning. I wish I had done that.

yeah, the bonus is this should fix my leaky rocker box gasket...... changed it 6 months ago, still seeps. Said screw it, it's a Harley. If it stops leaking, then I worry

I'm having him replace all 4 studs with new. Parts are with the bike already.

Most easy outs suck, These work the best.. The tapered ones wedge the stud into the threads. Always drill all the way through the bolt, It helps to reduce pressure on the treads and gives better engagement without locking the stud into the hole.

I've have and have used this set many times over the years ... Works great most of the time :>)

My little shop and my GD machining

holes in a receiver. In her third week of college. She wants to be a nurse. I think she ought to be a Brain Surgeon...
