Default Fuel Issues

i have a 2008 FLHT. I can start the bike and it run fine. After riding for a while, i can turn the bike off for roughly an hour. The bike will start back up just fine, but when i take off and am turning the throttle the bike acts like its flooded out. Smoke puffs from the exhaust and i can smell fuel. i can take off slowely and after a few minutes of it acting like its loaded with fuel it clears up and runs like a top.

Not so sure about that Also, before opening the tank, a properly performed fuel pressure test under full engine load will tell you if that restricted.

I would think you need to scan the data. Something like this sounds more sensor or injector related.

Use a a systematic approach. Don’t just start shotgunning parts.
