No, it fits better and tighter than the stock windshield.

 

 

I hated the HD windsplitter, went with a 10" LRS recurve for solo and an 11" LRS flattop for 2 up, lady friend said the flattop made a difference in what she felt wind wise.

 

Moose, did u feel the wind DID push UP higher with the windsplitter? I did not.

 

Nope it didn't push up with the windsplitter, it was only marginally better that the stock 4" shield on my street glide. The distortion with the twindsplitter also bugged me a lot. The 10" LRS pushes the wind up right around 2" over my head, 6'2" on a hammock seat. I actually just ordered a 9" because I think it will work for me as well. I can see over the 10" just fine no matter what my posture is but the 11" bothers me when I slouch, can still see over it but it gets in my line of sight sometimes.

It is funny how we need to figure out this windshield stuff. I know it is supposed to be at your NOSE TO UPPER LIP level. <-- Does seem to work.

I was just ticked the HD salesman said the windsplitter would work for me. HELL O! You try it, u bot it. NO demo. Grrrrr.

Yeah there was a demo when I bought mine but hard-headed me said nah I don't need no demo, my 11" LRS that was on my 2011 worked great so this 10" HD shield should be fine! Oh well live and learn lol
