Question Front Fender

Bike in reference is an '02 fxsti, This has been on my mind a while now, Once I get my current winter changes finished I'd like to swap the stock front fender for a '70s stile fender of an fx/fxe for more wet weather tire coverage, I'm not interested in an after market wrap around fender, The wide glide vs. narrow front isn't an issue but my ''21 wheel compared to the older having a ''19 wheel is my concern (all ready got to much wall art), Has any one done this swap? Is the tire wheel size difference an issue? My front (hub, spokes & wheel) are all ready chrome so I don't really wanna replace the wheel and I haven't seen any thing on this so if any one has any positive input I'd appreciate it

It probably would work. Due to the profile difference of the two tires I don't think the overall height between a 21" and a 19" is all that different. Just be sure the fender mount bolt holes line up .

Thumbs up

Depending on tyre brand, profile and size, the two tyres can be around 1" different in rolling diameter, possibly a little more. My first Harley was a new '74 FX, which certainly had a more weather effective fender than modern bikes.
