Ive been having a bit of trouble in the hot weather lately.
My bike has no trouble starting and running on cold start. But as soon as I shut it off and let it sit in the sun, while on a ride and then go to ride again, it will start initially and then soon die after. I can here the fuel pump priming when the bike is off the first time. But after it dies, I cannot here the fuel pump.
Ive checked the spark plugs and spark, all being fine, as well as cleaned the throttle body and air filter.
The bike is not going into vapour lock as I have checked and made sure opening the fuel cap and the quick release.
Just wondering why this happens when the bike is hot? As soon as the bike is in the garage and cooled right down, the fuel pump works and it starts again.
This is has happened about 4-5 times and I’ve been left stuck a couple of times (luckily not far from home)
Has anybody had similar problems? Any help would be appreciated.
When the motor dies, the fuel pump should run for only a few seconds afterwards. If you are not hearing the fuel pump as soon as it dies, I'd expect that the crank sensor is going bad.. If you cycle the ignition and the fuel pump does not run for a few seconds, I'd suspect the system relay.
Thanks for the welcome everybody muchly appreciated.
In in response to the answer given, the bike has roughly 3500 miles on it. (6800 kms) I’m from Australia.
see photo below,
how would I go about checking the relays? Thanks very much for your help in advance.

The easiest way it to swap relays. IIRC you can swap system and starter relays If starter quits working or it makes no difference you know it's condition. Page 190 in the owners manual talks about where they are.
