Passenger foot pegs

Default Passenger foot pegs
I have a 1997 Harley Davidson Fat Boy. I am wondering if anyone knows the best way to keep the right side passenger foot peg from folding backwards while a passenger is on the bike? The peg is located between the two exhaust pipes so you can not fold the foot peg upward like normal. Thanks for any good ideas.
