Default phone help

Must be missing something. I got my phone paired. I can send and receive calls but the other person cant hear me. I hear them fine. I'm not using a wireless headset or anyrhing.
My question is can it be used while stopped without a headset? Just speaking to the radio?

We need more information. What are you riding? What type of headset? Hard to know what to say without more details about your setup.

2019 limited. Have not headset hooked up. Maybe worded question wrong. Once my phone is paired and I'm sitting on bike on side of road can I make a phone call where the recipient can hear me. I hear them but they cant hear me. Can I just answer the phone and speak or do I need a headset connected while at a stop

The radio does not have a microphone built in so you would need to connect a headset for them to hear you.
