Default Dragbar

I recently changed my handlebars on my 2007 sportster low to dragbar. Now my brake line and throttle cables are too long. Can they be shortened or do I need to buy new ones. If I have to buy new does anyone know about what that would cost?

Without disconnecting they appear to be at least 3" to 4 1/2".too long. The brake hose is doubled but not kinked. The kst barhopper handlebars are at least 2" longer with more rise and pullback. In theory they should work better.
