Hey guys new to the forums, first post. Just bought a brand new left over 19 slim. It came with a tender pigtail on it from the factory. My question is can I power a boss handlebar radio from it? My thoughts were wiring up another pigtail to the radio and simply plugging them together as a quick connect. I know it sounds nuts but is mainly to protect the free 4 year warranty they gave me with the bike. That way I can remove it each time I go to the dealer. They told me one aftermarket part on my bike will void my warranty. I've never owned anything brand new either so I don't know how this warranty stuff goes.
I dont think Id want that wire flopping around going down the road.
Doesnt your bike have an accessory wire, I believe it is orange/white? Just hook a disconnect to that.
Ive never dealt with HDs warranty, but it sounds like bs that any aftermarket accessories would completely void the warranty.

I was going to run it down and zip tie everything to the frame. Plus I hardly know anything about bikes or wiring. They're doing this because because of the deal they gave me. And honestly I've heard Harleys warranties are pathetic. My gas cap broke 600miles in and I have to wait 3 weeks for an appointment. I can't fill the bike full of gas because it'll come out of the tank once I go down the road.
