I have read previous posts and can’t find a result. Like other, trying to remove the factory whip stereo antenna. It just spins and spins. There is NO set screw. Any ideas The silver just spins
I don’t mean to bring this back from the dead but same here. Wth is going on. I’m not a novice mechanics by any means but this has me stumped. Any help is appreciated.

he went through this antenna thing and yes there is a set screw, if i remember right, it is angled, i had to make one for him because it broke. also found out this is an odd ball thread, i based the part off my truck whip which is the same size thread but he had issue with the hd whip screwing in.
I tried taking them off my 2008 tourpak a few times - its not on the bike but wanted easier storage as they were so long - they would never twist off. Finally probed deeper and saw each has a super tiny set screw.
