2018 HD Breakout 114 starts to idle high. Rpm's usually in the low 900's at idle then all of the sudden jumps up to low 1,000's. Has anyone else experienced this on the Milwaukee 8 if so what was going on ?
Two issues could be your problem. If your RPM's surge during a cold start (like 2500-3000 rpm), the likely culprit is your throttle position sensor. Easy to reset, you can search the fourms. If it starts fine, but then "surges", you more than likely have a vacuum leak. Several members have had issues with the M8 plastic throttle bodies... Hope this helps.

had same problem started one day out of no where on my 2019 RGS. I read two treads dont know which one worked but it worked.
1: reset the ignition look that up. It was like turn it on and off like 5 times.
2: was roll the throttle forward and hold it while starting the bike and that resets the throttle.
bike is now idling low again and no issues
