Kickstand screwy?
2019 flde
I wouldnt hesitate to ask your tech to take a look at it. Probably a common request.
Arm could be bent.
Could be a shorter length aftermarket.
Put a jack under the bike, stand it up off the stand and get down there and check it.
If all the bolts are tight and there are no cracks (it happens) you're good to go.

Most bike stands just roll a tad past 90 and simply use weight of bike to keep all good.
This works great except on steep grades. Parking facing down a steep hill then requires you to be in first gear since it can roll off the stand. Makes it more of a juggling act to start it in neutral on the stand. My last Yamaha was like that.
It truely is best to lift on a bike jack or roll over on some blocks and check your stand. Make sure it's not bent. Retaining bolt is properly torqued. Spring is in correct position. Rubber bumper stop is there.
Then as you roll it down and let it go up into its lock engagement that keeps it from the bike rolling off the stand that non jiffy stands can do.
Once you understand it, it will make since to you.
On mine, it is part of the fwd control. It was a little loose in the slot. Since I have a small shop, I replaced the lock tab on mine.
Made it wider so once half way in, it does not rock. However, I still have to make sure it's in before rolling bike over.
No problem for my 6' 3" height. On rough concrete, I also need to make sure it goes all the way over.
