Default GPS units

Thinking about getting a GPS unit for my Road King. What are you running? I'm looking at the Garmin Zumo XT or Montana 700i

I don't have any experience with the Montana, but I have a Zumo XT, and it's a fantastic unit. I highly recommend it.

Cheers!

ZUMO 590

Works GREAT. Only wish the contrast was sharper. With sun, it is tuff to see sometimes.

Zuni XT you'll never regret it. Bright, sharp, very visible in the sun, lots of features.

The 590 is a great unit. I had one for years. The XT is even better. The screen alone is worth upgrading (that's what did it for me).

Cheers!

I used a Motorcycle Garmin for years. Very expensive. For the same price I use a Samsung Galaxy Phone with Google maps. Easier to see and a better gps. Even tho they say they are water proof, I take it off before it rains.

I wouldn't ride for long in rain with a phone as my GPS. The Zumo, on the other hand, has been through multi-day downpours for hundreds of miles, without a problem.

The Zumo XT screen is as bright, and clear, as that on your phone. It's also an Android device now.

Cheers!

if you dont plan on riding in bad weather you can use a car Garmin they are much cheaper. if you hit rain just pop it off and put in in your saddlebag.

If the feature of audio line output is important to you, the XT doesn't have that feature, but the 590 does.
