It pays to do a pre ride inspection of your bike.

His tire looked fine, He headed out into Death Valley 110 degree heat, 140 degrees on the course road surface. The group of riders that helped him from the area avoid the road he was on.. Yes the rear tire had high milage 15,000 and it should ofbeen changed. The good people at the shop changed the tire and washed the bike for a great price, and he had a couch the sleep on for two days. Needless to say it turned out to be a great adventure of the helping hand and kind spirit of the motorcycle riding people of the world.

Moral of the story here is, don't leave town on bum tires.
A little story from a buddy of mine. He left for a camp ground by Mount Rushmore on a iffy rear tire. He made it there ,but the tire was shot. He waited in line all night to get a tire put on and when he got up to the service dept in the morning he found out he was in the wrong line. Entire night and 1 day wasted. He got it fixed , but what a pain.

He had money for tires, hotels ect. what he did not have was the services to get him there. Mind your own business and don`t tell me what to do with my money
