Default Turn signal mirrors problem

I recently installed turn signal mirrors on my 2001 Sportster 1200 Custom. They worked fine at first but then they started getting loose and I couldn't keep them where I wanted them. Now the left turn signal is not working. I'm sure that is just a loose wire.
My question is how do I get the mirror off so that I can fix the wiring and maybe also the loose ball joint so that they will stay where I put them.
One video said to run a plastic card around the edge of the mirror. I tried that and it didn't sčem to help at all.
Will someone please tell me how to do this?
Thank you!

is there two screws next to the ball? if so tighten those till the mirrors stay positioned. mine loosen also with high rpm vibs. as far as removing the mirror, it is glued in, supposed to be a one way ticket. maybe a little applied heat may soften it up, or bring it to an automotive glass shop.

Without any information it is a stretch for anyone to help you.

What are the mirrors you have?

Have you contacted the vendor? If it's their product they might have a fix.

I have decided to just say to heck with the mirrors with the turn signals.
I'm just gonna go with plain mirrors with separate turn signals.

So I probably should get mirrors with those two screws next to the ball, huh? That way I could tighten them up as I need to, right? Plus I was thinking that if I got some round mirrors then I should be able to see in 'em even if they turned.
