Hey y'all,
I need help to determine wich 4point docking I need for my bike. It's a Road King Custom 2004. my local parts-pusher tells my that I need the Ushaped one from 97-08 but the fender struts on my bike is rounded... so I´m thinking I need to bye the one that goes from 09-13 am I wrong? hope there's an expert in here. Thanks ;-)
No
he will not guarantee anything. I bought the bike this year and what’s done or not done too the bike in it’s seventeen years is anyones guess. I’m new to HD so I have no clue what has been modified - aftermarket or OEM
All I know is that my bike doesn’t have the straight fender struts like the parts picture shows. Mine are rounded.
What size tire is on the rear? The 09 and later frame change uses a different rear swing arm and larger tire. It takes a ton of work to change over an older rear end to a newer one and I can’t really see someone doing that to a 2004 bike but I could be wrong. Are you positive it’s a 2004? Can you post more pics of the bike and not just the rear end.
