Default Road Glide. Wiring up a gps.

Just switched from a Ultra Limited to a 2022 Road Glide Limited. Will be mounting my gps on left side of bars next to the clutch perch. Was looking this evening how to run the wires. Windshield and fairing are off. Looking for a route to run the power wire and the best I can figure out is to follow the clutch cable down to the area below the the bar mounting area. Then giving some slack for turning the bars and up around the headlights into the area and up to the radio area to tie into the switched wiring that feeds the cigarette lighter. Is this the same routing others use to wire your gpss. Tks.

Congrats on your new bike.

Curious - with the HU having a GPS plus, you have the availability of using either apple car play or android auto, why add an additional GPS

Even though most of my bikes have had a built in gps, they have been far from the Garmin. I have the XT model and use and functions are hard to beat. Prefer using my Garmin.
