Rant..........sort of........🤔
3 H.D.'s ( pieced cone nose shovelhead, 2002 74" Sportster, and 1999 FL Springer evo. ,wish I still had her) all carbureted and enough wiring to make them go. Loved them all.
My latest acquisition is a 2019 114" Triglide. With 350 miles of wire under the saddle.
My previous bikes were relatively easy to wrench on / tune. I'm a fair mechanic/ parts replacer. Weak at diagnostics.
And I pretty much suck at wiring.
No real complaints about the trike, other than I hardly know where/ or how to do anything to it.
Can't find a factory service manual, yet,
Owners manual is barely adequate.
Catalytic converters, EFI, o2 sensors, on and on.
I reckon I'm just missing simpler times and simpler scooters.
Looking at Used bike sales, it seems folks are holding on to their carbureted EVO's. Lots of twin cams for sale and later models.
Sort of half heartedly looking for an EVO FL Springer. Few and far between and pricey when u find them.
FWIW, bought this triglide , used, from a dealership back in September of this year.
It had 6,400 miles on it. Wife n I have put close to 1,000 mile on it . And the running / passing lights are out.
Thankfully, we bought an extended warranty.
Went against all I stand for. If a feller rides a bike, he should be able to wrench on it.
At the very least, the basics.
I'm done.
Have a blessed day y'all
A Service manual was always the first accessory to compliment my bikes.
Worth their weight in gold.
